One of the most significant Lithuanian orchestral music events – the Open Finals of the Lithuanian Wind Orchestras Championship – is being organised for the 22nd time.
The championship, which was first organised in 2001, has become an annual tradition, a new phenomenon filled with youthful energy and wonderful professionally performed music and a great gift to all participants, listeners, jury members and organisers.
Intensive rehearsals and concerts by orchestras strengthen the musical path of young performers and facilitate the realisation of talents, which are an essential investment in the musical future of our country. On 2 April, 30 of the best Lithuanian orchestras in five categories will compete for the title of champions, and after the competition the audience will be treated to a spectacular awards ceremony and Gala Concert of the annual Championships, during which the State Wind Instrument Orchestra Trimitas will entertain the audience with its dreamy melodies and energetic rhythms. This musical feast will be conducted by the
